Hi, I’m Lottie!
I’m a little lost in life, so figured I should just get lost properly. I’m a 23 year old Brit who loves travelling and adventures, especially when they include good food and interesting architecture. I decided to start this blog as a new project for me, and as a way to share photos, stories, travel tips and inevitable misadventures with friends and family!
Right now, I’m travelling South and Central America, and South East Asia with 2 girl friends…
Join me on my journey!

Hi,
My name is Cordelia, I work for the social media team at Sta Travel. We spoke last week via Instagram. I couldn’t find your email address so I’m contacting you through your blog 🙂
We saw your blog and love it! We were wondering if you would be interested in writing a blog piece for us on “Why give up everything and travel” to share with our audience your experience. Your name will be credited on our social media channels.
Here’s an example: http://www.statravel.co.uk/travel-blog/2016/04/a-guide-to-gold-coast-surf-culture/
Please let me know what you think,
Many thanks,
Cordelia

Hi Lottie,
Would you share with us the overall length of your trip as well as the budget you needed? It would be great for me to make an estimate. Thank you

Hi Izzy! Of course 🙂 I’m travelling for 6.5 months in total – 4 months in South America all the way up to California and then 2 months in SE Asia.
South America is much more expensive than I had ever thought or planned, and also we visited ALOT of counties in a relatively short amount of time. Travel more = cost more. I would recommend doing SA slower/or doing less than we did, so you can enjoy it more and be gentler on your budget! I couldn’t tell you exactly how much I spent where, but I think I was working at around £1500 a month there. I tried to budget £30 a day, which worked for a while, but then it was more like £40-45. General rule: the further south the country in SA, the more expensive.
Asia is MUCH cheaper and can be done very cheaply if you wish, or quite nicely for a little bit more! You can live quite happily on £1000 a month, or even less. I think I’ve been spending about £25 a day but I’ve heard people doing it for £18 a day and managing quite happily. I’ve paid for a few more expensive excursions (and souvenirs), but they’re things I really wanted to do so in my eyes they’re worth it. Who knows when I might return!
I hope that helps! Feel free to ask me any more questions 🙂 Do you have a trip planned?
Love, Lottie xx
